Day 1 Arrival Beijing Upon your arrival in Beijing, our English speaking guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. On the way the guide will give you a brief introduction about the hotel and your tour in Beijing. Enjoy a free night.

Day 2 Beijing (B/L) Meet other members of the group.
This morning you will take a half-day guided visit to the awesome Badaling Great Wall of China. It is only 70km (about 43.5 miles) away from downtown Beijing and was completely restored after 1957.Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance.
In the afternoon you will continue to the Ming Tombs located in a gorgeous valley 45km (28 miles) northwest of Beijing. The burial site of 13 Ming dynasty emperors and their consorts was carefully chosen and took over 200 years to complete. Today you will visit Changling where emperor Yongle and his empress were buried and features one of the largest halls in China.

Day 3 Beijing (B/L) After having breakfast at your hotel, you will take a half-day excursion to explore the world heritage site Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 Ming and Qing dynasty emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years.Besides its massive scale and historical significance, the Forbidden City strikes the imagination by its design. The South Gate leads you to Tian'anmen Square - the biggest of its kind in the world. Lunch is served at a local Chinese restaurant.
In the afternoon visit Temple of Heaven which is one of Beijing’s most famous landmarks. This was the place where Ming and Qing emperors worshipped God and prayed for harvest. Highlights of the temple are the Hall for the Prayer of Good Harvest, the Circular Altar, the Imperial Vault of Heaven and the Echo Wall.
Tonight you will enjoy a fascinating Peking Opera show at Liyuan Theatre.

Day 4 Beijing - Xian by overnight train (B/L) Check out after the breakfast and leave your baggage in Concierge of the hotel. Then your tour will begin with a visit to the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting. In 1886, the Empress Dowager Cixi of the Qing dynasty diverted funds earmarked to build a modern Chinese navy and spent the money on endowing the Summer Palace with a marble boat-shaped pavilion and other extravagances throughout the palace. She also gave the palace its current name, Yiheyuan which means the Garden for Cultivating Harmony in Chinese.
Lunch will be served at local restaurant in downtown. After that free at leisure.
8:00pm-8:20pm, Picked up at your Hotel and transferred to Beijing West Rail Station, take train Z19 to Xian

Day 5 Xian (B/L) Meet your local guide upon arrival and transferred to your hotel for breakfast. Begin your tour in Xian with a visit to the Shaanxi History Museum, one of the best of its kind in China. It displays a great number of ancient pieces of arts and crafts. The bronze pieces, the gold and silverware, the terrocotta pieces and murals from Tang dynasty tombs are of special significance.
After lunch continue to the Great Mosque which was established in AD 742 in the Tang dynasty for Muslim traders from central Asia who settled in Xian. It is difficult to tell that the buildings are Islamic because it was built according to traditional Chinese architectural forms. Now it is still an active place of worship. After stepping out of the mosque, have a leisurely stroll around Huifang, the area surrounding the mosque with a distinct Muslim atmosphere and small tree lined lanes crowded with restaurants and shops that are alive with activities.

Day 6 Xian - Shanghai by plane (B/L/-) Xian, with over 3000 years of recorded history,has been the capital of 12 dynasties. The Qin emperor Shihuang who lived from 259 to 210 BC left his indelible mark through the famed Terracotta Warriors. This morning you will visit the world wonder where numerous life-sized clay soldiers,horses stand in battle formation guarding the tomb of the first Qin emperor.
In the afternoon transferred back to downtown for lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The bricked Big Wild Goose Pagoda was first built in AD 652 for housing and protecting Buddhist scriptures collected by Tang dynasty monk Xuanzang who spent 17 years traveling to India for the collection. His journey was written in the novel Journey to the West, one of China’s most important literary works. Afterwards head for the airport and take a flight to Shanghai.
Upon arrival in Shanghai, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.

Day 7 Shanghai (B/L/-) This morning you will visit Yuyuan Garden and City God Temple market. Yuyuan Garden is one of classic Chinese gardens where you can enjoy the harmony between human and nature and learn the actualization of Chinese culture in daily life.
After lunch visit Jade Buddha Temple, a spiritual oasis in the midst of a booming city. It was built with Song dynasty architectural style in 1918 to house two legendary jade Buddhas brought from Myanmar. Next stop is number one tourist site - the Bund. a long strip on west bank of Huangpu River. It’s not only the fantastic view but also the atmosphere of wealth that attracts thousands of people coming to admire. On its west side lines many famous banks, foreign-funded or state-owned, so the Bund is also known as Financial Street and the East Wall Street in China.

Day 8 Shanghai - Suzhou by train (B/L) Transfer to the railway station, take a fast and comfortable train ride to Suzhou. With a history of over 2500 years and its well-preserved traditional gardens and ancient canals, architectures, the charming city Suzhou was designated as UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997.This morning you will visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden, the largest and most renowned of its kind in China.
After lunch at local restaurant continue your visit to Master of Nets Garden well-known for its water landscapes and pavilions. After that take a leisurely walk along the ancient Grand Canal, watching the boats on the canal drifting by. Before being transferred back to Shanghai, pay a special visit to a silk Mill where you may learn how silk worm cocoon to be woven into silk thread as well as fantastic silk products.

Day 9 Suzhou - Shanghai by train (B/L) This morning take a half day excursion to Luzhi, a charming water village where you can enjoy the unique water landscapes and peaceful country life. After lunch, transfer the railway station and take train back to Shanghai. Enjoy a free afternoon at leisure.
