Day 1. Shanghai D
Highlights: Jade Buddha Temple, the Bund, Huangpu River Cruise
Pick up time & place: Lobby of Jinjiang Tower Shanghai (161 Changle Road) 1:30pm-1:45pm. Our guide will hold a welcome sign with our company’s name China Absolute Tours Int’l Inc. to meet you at the lobby.
Afternoon: First visit Jade Buddha Temple. It was built with Song dynasty architecture style in 1918 to house two legendary jade Buddhas brought from Myanmar. Next stop is Shanghai’s No.1 tourist site - the Bund, a long strip on west bank of Huangpu River. It’s not only the fantastic view but also the atmosphere of wealth that attracts thousands of people coming to admire. On its west side lines many famous banks, foreign-funded or state-owned, so the Bund is also known as Financial Street and the Wall Street in China.
Enjoy dinner in a local restaurant.
Evening: Enjoy a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. the view of the old masterpieces and the new wonders across the river will be a sore-eye sight for you.

Day 2, Shanghai B, L
Highlights: Shanghai Museum
Morning: Transfer to the People’s Square and visit Shanghai Museum. It was designed by a Shanghai architect. Its appearance looks like an ancient Chinese bronze vessel” Ding”. Inside the museum there is a spectrum of China’s great display of art and artifacts such as ancient bronze sculptures, ceramics, famous paintings, exotic furniture…etc.
Afternoon: After lunch you are free at leisure

Day 3, Shanghai / Hangzhou by train D657 (9:30-10:48) B, L
Highlights: West Lake boat ride, Six Harmonies Pagoda, tea plantation
Morning: Take a morning train to Hangzhou. One of the six famous ancient capital cities in China, Best Human Habitat entitled by the UN in 2001, Happiest City in China selected by Chinese people…Hangzhou is absolutely a destination worthy of visit. Upon arrival your local guide will meet you at the railway station and take you to enjoy lunch at a fine local restaurant.
Afternnon: Have a leisurely boat ride on the West Lake, enjoy the charming views of the two causeways lined with weeping willows and peach trees, small islets with bueatiful pavilions within the lake and the skyline of pagodas standing atop the lakeside hills. Then visit the Six Harmonies Pagoda by the Qiantang River and a tea plantation as Hangzhou boasts the best green tea of China.

Day 4, Hangzhou – Xian by flight HU7862 (11:05-13:15) B, D
Highlights: Residential household community
Morning: This morning you will visit a local residential household community-health care centre, entertainment cetre for senior citizen and even a local family to learn how Chinese people live in depth. Then transfer to the airport and take HU7862 to Xian. Lunch is served aboard.
Afternoon: Upon arrival in Xian, meet your local guide and transferred in your hotel. Before dinner pay a visit to the Great Mosque and the Muslin street nearby. The Mosque was established in AD 742 in the Tang dynasty for Muslim traders from central Asian who settled in Xian. The buildings are a combination of both Islamic and traditional Chinese architectural forms. The area surrounding the mosque has a distinct Muslim atmosphere and is crowded with restaurants and shops.
Enjoy dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 5, Xian – Beijing B, L, D
Highlights: Terracotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum
Morning: Check out after the breakfast and leave your baggage in Concierge of the hotel.
Xian, with over 3000 years of recorded history,has been the capital of 12 dynasties. The Qin emperor Shihuang who lived from 259 to 210 BC left his indelible mark through the famed Terracotta Warriors. This morning you will visit the world wonder where numerous life-sized clay soldiers,horses stand in battle formation guarding the tomb of the first Qin emperor.
Afternoon: Transferred back to downtown for lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Shaanxi History Museum. The brick pagoda was first built in AD 652 for housing and protecting Buddhist scriptures collected by Tang dynasty monk Xuanzang who spent 17 years traveling to India for the collection. His journey was written in the novel Journey to the West, one of China’s most important literary works. Then you will pay a visit to Shaanxi History Museum, one of the best of its kind in China. It displays a great number of ancient pieces of arts and crafts. The bronze pieces, the gold and silverware, the terrocotta pieces and murals from Tang dynasty tombs are of special significance.
Before dinner going back to your hotel to get back your baggage.
Evening: After dinner at local restaurant transferred to the railway station for train Z20 (leave at 8:16pm, arrive at 7:17am next day) to Beijing.

Day 6 Beijing B, L
Highlights: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Peking Opera
Morning: After having breakfast at your hotel, you will take a half-day exploration to the world heritage site Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 Ming and Qing dynasty emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years.Besides its massive scale and historical significance, the Forbidden City strikes the imagination by its design. The South Gate leads you to Tian'anmen Square - the biggest of its kind in the world. Lunch is served at a local Chinese restaurant.
Afternoon: Visit Temple of Heaven which is one of Beijing’s most famous landmarks. This was the place where Ming and Qing emperors worshipped God and prayed for harvest. Highlights of the temple are the Hall for the Prayer of Good Harvest, the Circular Altar, the Imperial Vault of Heaven and the Echo Wall.
Evening: Tonight you will enjoy a fascinating Peking Opera show.

Day 7, Beijing B, L, SD
Highlights: Great Wall, Ming Tombs and Duck Dinner
Morning: This morning you will take a half-day guided tour to the awesome Badaling Great Wall of China. It is only 70km (about 43.5 miles) away from downtown Beijing and was completely restored after 1957.Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance.
Afternoon: In the afternoon you will proceed to the Ming Tombs located in a gorgeous valley 45km (28 miles) northwest of Beijing. The burial site of 13 Ming dynasty emperors and their consorts was carefully chosen and took over 200 years to complete. Today you will visit Changling where emperor Yongle and his empress was buried and features one of the largest halls in China.
Evening: Tonight you will taste Peking Roast Duck for dinner.

Day 8, Beijing B, L
Highlights:Summer Palace
Morning:Visit the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting. In 1886, the Empress Dowager Cixi of the Qing dynasty diverted funds earmarked to build a modern Chinese navy and spent the money on endowing the Summer Palace with a marble boat-shaped pavilion and other extravagances throughout the palace. She also gave the palace its current name, Yiheyuan which means the Garden for Cultivating Harmony in Chinese.
Afternoon: Lunch will be served at local restaurant in downtown. After that you are free at leisure.
