What should I say - I’m so much delighted with this hotel. This is a topclass hotel with very reasonable rates - I guess with the best price-performance ratio from all hotels in China I’ve ever been.Quick checkin and checkout without any problems, friendly staff at reception, great rooms, delicious breakfast buffet, obliging staff at the restaurant and the bar. Front desk staff also assisted me to locate different spots in downtown on a map,I booked a business room, which was quite large and got luxury furnishing. Many tv-channels, including a couple of non-chinese speaking stations. Actually I enjoyed a late night drink at the huge River Lounge with cosy seating and live music entertainment. The busy shopping and business center is a 15-mins drive by taxi. Although I got into the habit of taking a walk to Niu Jiao Tuo station, where the monorail is heading to downtown. Maybe that takes some more time, but travelling with the locals is always an outstanding experience, which you should not miss.I also have visited the Intercontinenal and the Harbour Plaza in downtown, which both would be more expensive and closer to the shopping and business center, but I prefer the Hilton. I definitively would stay here again

The Hotel is Grand, value for money, the service were excellent, they greet you whenever they see you. The house keeping was perfect. Breakfast was so so, should do better in this as a 5* Hotel. Location was a bit off the city whereby shopping and wine bars were not within walking distance. Room was very clean, cosy, quite and nicely decor. Overall is a good buy.

I took a trip through China this summer with a friend, going to Beijing, Xian, Chongqing, and Hong Kong. This was by far the best hotel we stayed at in China. On sale, our room cost only $50 a night for two people, which works out to only $25 a person per night. And this included breakfast! When we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel's appearance. The staff was extremely helpful when we were checking in, and everyone spoke English perfectly. Our room was quite plush, much more than we had imagined. It had very nice touches, such as a fog-free mirror in the bathroom. My favorite things were the breakfast and the spa. The spa (no extra charge) was next to the pool and exercise room. It had a sauna, steam room, cold pool, hot pool, and relaxation room. It was quite well-maintained and very relaxing after our long trip through China. The breakfast was really tasty, and on par with good hotel buffet breakfasts in the USA.Overall, I was thrilled with our experience. Also, the hotel is located VERY close to the bus station to take the bus to the Chongqing Airport. This is quite convenient. It costs 25 yuan to take the bus to the airport, per person. If you want a taxi from the hotel, it will cost about 50 yuan during the day.

We stayed here for 3 days and were extremely impressed with all facets of the hotel. Upon entering the hotel, my fiance was blown away with the entrance and high class lobby - it gave her a feeling of success that she had never felt in a hotel before; I myself was also very pleasantly taken by the ambiance despite my staying in numerous other 5-star hotels that were more luxurious. Nevertheless, We stayed on the Executive floor and the view was spectacular. The internet and evening drinks were complimentary, as was the breakfast (chose from the Executive lounge or the 2nd floor restaurant [which has much more choice, including buffet and Make-to-Order choices in Chinese, Japanese, French, and American style]). The room itself was amazing, everything you needed was there and it was immaculately clean. The bathroom was arguably the best we'd ever seen (although would have been better if it had one of those Japanese toilet bidets, haha - must lay kudos to my Japan). The bed was 'heavenly' to say the least as it was so comfortable we could hardly wake up. There was a plethora of TV stations, not that we watched them - but it was nice to see. The slippers, robes, and amenities were all a nice touch and very classy. Even had umbrella for the rain and outlet conversion for North America. But the best part of the hotel was the staff. As others have said, the staff here is World Class and is truly what sets the hotel apart. Every request was met with a smiling staff member, we felt like we lived there and not as a 'passing tourist.' They would ring the doorbell (a very nice touch) and would strive to meet every need, including speaking wonderful English (and ChongQingese, of course). The ONLY gripe I could find about the hotel and a small one at that was the location, as it is on the edge of the city centre and away from all the action of Jeifangbei downtown. But then again, this can be a plus also and is a short cab or subway ride away. While the hotel is definitely oriented to the upper business crust, I highly recommend the hotel for any person looking for a nice touch of high class at a very reasonable price while in China. It was a breath of fresh air in what otherwise is a very 'common feeling' country. Kudos - we will return!

Wife and I were backpacking round China, well flashpacking really but not top end hotels, more nice hostels etc. But we came here, why, well it was more expensive but only for one night and because we used Sinohotel.com and got an amazing rate - 70 something USD and at the time it was 2-1 GBP to USD, not so great now I suppose. And when travelling for a loooong time you need the occasional break. The hotel being such a big building and famous name, it is easy to find. The room was fantastic (bear in mind that paying peanuts we didn´t get any special treatment). Huge, great bathroom TV etc etc.Breakfast was really nice, everything you could want (although we had to pay extra for that). The staff were polite and spoke sufficient english. Nice swimming pool too, high up somewhere.I´d never look for another hotel in Chongqing. However if you are a backpacker be warned that this is a top end hotel and therefore charges silly amounts for laundry - 1USD per item sort of stupidity, we´d could almost spend as much money washing clothes as sleeping! - obviously we didn´t.
